Abstractions

This is the second Editorial Assignment done on the Anti-Gay Bill in Uganda. For this illustration, I focused on the minority. The intent of the illustration is to show the figure drowning in a sea of persecution and hate (as protest boards) and the silencing of their voice.

This was part of a major project I worked on last month for my mentorship assignment. The issue being dealt here is the Anti-Gay Bill in Uganda. This specific bill allows the persecution and execution of the Gay minority in Uganda.

The intent of this Editorial Illustration was to show how government’s indoctrination in Uganda is crushing the minority with lies, propaganda and hate.

This was the first of two illustrations done relative to the issue in Uganda.

"Training Room"
Personal experiment that turned into something finished! As a Star Trek fan, I always enjoyed the idea of a Holodeck. Although this isn’t a direct Star Trek illustration, there are many elements incorporated into it from The Next Generation.

Since August…

This is a picture of my new studio. Already two month into it. Hence the mess….

For all those who have been following me, and don’t know me personally. First thanks for the follow. Second, this post is about what I have been doing since I left Florida.

Since August, Ive been attending the Career Mentorship Program in Richmond. My mentor is Sterling Hundley, who is guiding me  every week to get to my goal of building a portfolio that is directed towards the editorial/ publication industry.

What you will see this next year is my process and progress. Every month I work on a couple major pieces, and every week I finish a couple smaller pieces. I Essentially spend my whole day in the studio working to better my voice, my process, my ideation, my media and everything else.

Two months in and already things are starting to click. Lets see where this year takes me!

Also, Ive been getting more asks from people about my process. If you wanna talk art and theory, I’d be more than happy to answer.
